About us… The Garden City Garden Club was organized in 1956. We are proud members of Michigan Garden Clubs Inc. and the National Gardens Club Inc. Our yearly membership fee is only $20.00

When we meet...
Monthly – We meet on the 3rd Tuesday of every month at 7 PM
September – May: Straight Farmhouse Museum (6221 Merriman Rd
June – August: Casual gatherings at members’ homes.
Our meetings are open to the public, so bring a friend and join us!
What happens at our meetings...
Our meetings are full of fun, learning, and inspiration. Topics include:
🌼 Helping pollinators & Monarch butterflies
🌼 Planting native species
🌼 Vegetable gardening & seed saving
🌼 Houseplant care & perennial dividing
🌼 Fundraiser planning, crafts, and plenty of laughs
Each meeting is a chance to share ideas, enjoy snacks, and connect with fellow gardeners.
What we do in our community...
We’re more than gardeners – we’re neighbors who care!
🌿 We give a $1,000 scholarship to a local high school senior every spring.
🌿 We host bake sales, plant sales, and our annual Garden Walk & Backyard Bouquet Contest.
🌿 We grow vegetables for seniors, maintain a butterfly garden in Garden City Park, and donate plants and trees to our parks and downtown.
🌿 We recognize neighborhood beautification efforts and make Garden City a little greener and more beautiful each year.
